I will continue to practice the highest professional sanitation methods in the industry in order to ensure my clients’ safety. I have recently added a medical-grade UV-C light sterilizer along with wearing protective gloves and mask to ensure makeup application is as safe as possible. I have also taken all steps to educate myself on the prevention of COVID-19 by taking all certifications available to me at this time.

What is “UV-C Light Sterilization”?

UV-C light is a short-wavelength, ultraviolet light that breaks apart virus DNA and RNA, leaving it unable to function or reproduce. In other words, UV-C light is germicidal and can even neutralize “superbugs” that have developed a resistance to antibiotics. UV sterilization can kill over 99.99% of viruses in an extremely short amount of time.

Where is UV Sterilization used?

Hospitals and healthcare facilities all over the country use UV-C light because it has been found to be extremely effective in stopping the spread of illness-causing viruses and bacteria.

I will continue to sanitize as I always have in the past based on the state of Illinois guidelines for sanitation. Each service will start with a clean working area that has been properly sanitized and disinfected. Each guest along with myself will wash there hands before and after each service and all brushes will be cleaned, disposables will be discarded, the chair will be sanitized, and the makeup will be sanitized before the next client is seated. This process may extend the services, but these are the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the artist and clients.
